Contrary Polish "Polish With A-Peel" Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share a new collection from Contrary Polish with you today that I actually had a hand in bringing about. One day, I was doing some house cleaning with citrus-scented cleaner and an idea for a polish collection popped into my head. I've always been a huge citrus freak (my favorite perfumes and body sprays are all citrus scented), and I started thinking that a fun summer collection inspired by beautiful citrus fruits would be amazing! I thought juicy shimmering jellies would really be awesome, and who better to bring this collection to life than Carrie from Contrary Polish, since she just rocks polishes like that. I shared this with her and she loved the idea, so the Polish With A-Peel Collection was born!

Formula-wise, all of these polishes are very similar so I will just talk about that first so I don't have to repeat myself. Since they are true jellies, they start out sheer, but build up nicely. I thought they all looked perfectly squishy and great at 3 coats with a hint of visible nail line, but if you want them more opaque you could use 4 coats. I actually preferred 4 coats on Meyer Lemon, the yellow. Formula was fantastic to work with on these, but like all jellies, you want allow them to dry just a bit between coats since they have a thinner texture than most polishes (it's something I have found to be true with all jellies).

Pink Grapefruit (3 coats) is a bright pink jelly with pink/orange microflakes and shimmer.

Valencia Orange (3 coats) is a bright orange jelly with gold/orange/red microflakes and shimmer.

Key Lime (3 coats) is a medium lime green jelly with gold/green microflakes and shimmer. This one is a teensy bit cooler toned in real life.

Meyer Lemon (4 coats) is a lemon yellow jelly with gold/orange microflakes and shimmer.

Overall I think this collection is just fab! I knew Carrie would capture my random idea perfectly, and she exceeded all expectations! All of the colors are bright and fun and work perfectly together. Carrie said in her blog post that these will be available tomorrow (Friday, August 8) during her mini bottle sale and full-sized bottles should be coming to Llarowe soon!

Contrary Polish can be purchased direct from Carrie (details are on her website) or they are available from these e-tailers that ship internationally. Thanks for looking everyone!
