Elevation Polish Adventures of Marco Polo Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the Elevation Polish half of the Adventures of Marco Polo Collection collection to share with you! As I mentioned in the previous post, this is a collaboration collection with Pahlish and each brand has 7 polishes that they have created to contribute to the 14 piece collection plus the Venetian Duo. I found out that there will be several complete 14 piece sets available in both the Pahlish and Elevation Polish shops as well as the duo. Individual polishes from each collection will only be available for purchase from their respective shops. Lulu also has a fantastic blog post about the inspiration for her polishes if you want to check it out. The Elevation Polish Adventures of Marco Polo Collection launches on August 7th at 9:00 PM CST.

Saif al Jabbar has a blackened holographic base filled with red and gold shimmer. Formula was a dream to work with and had full coverage in 2 easy coats. The gold/red shimmer really make it something special and it is a must have! I mentioned the Pahlish half of the collection having some perfect fall polishes, and this vampy beauty is right up there with those!

Le Citta Invisibili is a purple leaning taupe filled with ultra chrome flakies in blue/purple/gold/pink. Formula was very easy to work with and I got full coverage in 3 thin coats. The flakies are such a fun way to spice up a neutral and the slight purple tinge makes this neutral right up my alley. This was definitely another favorite of mine.

Empress Chabi is a deep berry red with fine pink and blue shimmer. Formula was excellent with full coverage in 2 easy coats. My camera really focused on the blue shimmer in this one, but when the pink shimmer catches the light it makes this polish have a magenta shift at certain angles. The base is truly vampy though and another great polish for fall.

Minkh Khukh Tengri is a denim blue creme with blue and green ultra chrome flakies and blue medium blue shimmer. Formula was very nice to work with and I got full coverage in 2 coats. The blue shimmer is a really nice addition to this polish that gives it some additional depth.

The Latin of 4 Languages is an orangey copper metallic. Formula was very opaque and could likely be opaque in 1 coat with careful application, but I used 2 for good measure. As with a lot of metallics, this one tends to have a few brushstrokes but nothing too bothersome. Unlike the the other two metallics in this collection, this one has a more foil-like and sparkly finish.

Khan of Khans is a burnished olive metallic. This one was also quite opaque and could be a careful one-coater, but I used 2 here for coverage. Brushstrokes were still present with this one, but it seemed a lot smoother than The Latin of 4 Languages. This was also a finer, smoother metallic finish that Latin as well.

Zhenjin is a burnished gold metallic with medium density holographic pigment. The formula of this one was very easy to work with and had full opacity in 2 thin coats (or 1 careful thicker coat). I really didn't expect to like this one at all because I usually dislike bright golds like this on me, but I really ended up liking this a lot! The holo is a very nice effect with the high metallic finish too.

Now any of you guys that have been following my blog for any length of time might know that metallics aren't my polish finish of choice for a full mani, but you might also know that I hoard metallics for their excellent stamping abilities because they are my favorites for that. I decided to put these three metallics to the test and they all stamped cleanly and wonderfully. The Latin of 4 Languages is on the thinner side so I think it would stamp best over dark colors, but the other two I think would stamp well over any color. I stamped them all over Minkh Khukh Tengri here.
